Tennessee Outlasts Butler in Overtime

The Butler Bulldogs got their first lead with 1:46 left in overtime. Fortunately, it was short lived. The Vols regained the lead with under a minute to go, and didn't look back. Tennessee found a way to win, that was a bit unconventional to their standards. The Vols scored 38 points in the paint, led by Wayne Chism and his 16 points, followed closely by Tyler Smith who finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. The Bulldogs would not give up, as they found themselves down by as many as 13 points at one time. JP Prince, who started at point guard, finished with nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Chris Lofton once again struggled, finishing with just 9 points, all on three pointers. Jajuan Smith closed the game out with clutch free throw shooting, hitting four straight free throws in the final 13.6 seconds of overtime. It has to make you feel good as a Vol fan, to know that this is a Sweet Sixteen team, virtually Lofton-less as of yet. A huge challenge presents itself on Thursday, as Tennessee will take on (3) Louisville. You have to think Lofton will be up for this game as it is once again a team from his homestate of Kentucky that overlooked him. Two years running, your Tennessee Vols have made it to the Sweet Sixteen.

Also see: my spot on prediction. You know that's impressive.
