Week 3:Around the League SEC Rap up

A check at what went on Saturday around the SEC.

LSU vs. Middle Tennessee State
Not much to say here except for 44. Number of total points in the game and also the number of points LSU put up. Middle Tennessee State was shut out by the stingy LSU defense.

(5) Florida vs. (22) Tennessee

Not going to go into detail. If you want to see detail look below. Tim Tebow tore it up against the weak Tennessee defense.

(9) Louisville vs. Kentucky

Down by one the Cats were marching late trying to get into field position. When a struggle for the ball between the wide reciever and the cornerback began, a Kentucky lineman came in and helped get the Card off of his teamate. A personal foul call put Kentucky out of field goal range with about 30 seconds left. The offense went deep the very next play and won the game with a 28 yard touchdown to Steve Johnson.

(16) Arkansas vs. Alabama

The Nick Saban era started off crazy as they watched a 21-0 lead crumble. The Razorbacks battled back to a 38-34 lead with little time left. The Crimso Tide marched right down the field late and scored the winning touchdown with 8 seconds left.

(17) South Carolina vs. South Carolina State

The game started 0-0 but in the end was not even close. The Gamecocks took control and helped lead themselves to a 3-0 start. Quarterback Blake Mitchell was on target throwing for three touchdowns.

(23) Georgia vs. Western Carolina

Another blowout for an SEC team. It was all Georgia in this one as they score three second quarter touchdowns led by quarterback Matthew Stafford.

(23) Georgia-45 Western Carolina-16

Vanderbilt vs. Ole Miss

Chris Nickson threw for 200 yards and ran for 78 more and a touchdown. Cassen Jackson-Garrison had three touchdowns as well as Vanderbilt took it to the Rebels.

Mississippi State vs. Auburn
A game which could be considered one of the biggest upsets, but it has to fight with Kentucky. The Mississippi State Bulldogs started of the season hoping to win a few games. Things looked up after Saturday's game.
